CLIFF MAY RANCHO

Tucked away in one of Southern California’s most storied mid-century pockets, this Cliff May rancho has been reimagined to hold both memory and movement—honoring its soul while evolving in function, flow, and character.

Originally purchased in the 1980s, the home had lost its way after years of renovations that left it dark and disconnected from its architectural roots. In response, we looked closely at the house’s midcentury foundations and period references, working with materials that felt authentic to the era while allowing the design to evolve in a way that felt personal and relevant to how the homeowners live today. The result is a space that meets nostalgia with novelty, old bones with new rituals, and emphasizes that every detail is designed to be lived in.
