Studio Assistant (Part-Time)

Linette Dai Design is a boutique residential interior design studio creating thoughtfully crafted homes throughout Southern California. We are seeking a highly organized Studio Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the studio.

This is primarily an administrative and operations-focused role. While an understanding of interior design and AutoCAD is helpful, your primary responsibility will be keeping projects and the studio running smoothly behind the scenes.

We are a small, collaborative team that values initiative, reliability, and thoughtful attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare proposals, invoices, and project documentation

  • Maintain spreadsheets and accurate project data

  • Organize digital files and studio systems

  • Track studio expenses and assist with bookkeeping administration

  • Manage the sample library and presentation materials

  • Process sample orders and returns

  • Assist with general project and office administration

  • Manage lead inquiries and scheduling

  • Maintain the accuracy of studio calendars

  • Run errands as needed

  • Provide AutoCAD support as needed

  • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming studio environment

  • Additional responsibilities may arise based on project needs and individual strengths

Qualifications

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Resourceful, proactive, and takes initiative

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities independently

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace

  • Interest in or background in interior design, architecture, or a related design field is a plus.

  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

You enjoy bringing order to complexity and making other people's jobs easier. You take ownership of your work, consistently follow through, and communicate proactively. You're meticulous with details, comfortable handling administrative responsibilities, and understand that no task is too small—from preparing invoices and organizing samples to assisting with drawings when needed.

This role is best suited for someone who finds genuine satisfaction in being indispensable behind the scenes.

Location: This is an in-person position supporting studio operations and projects throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

Schedule: This role is currently part-time and is ideal for someone with consistent availability during weekday afternoon business hours.

Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with experience.

As the studio continues to grow, there may be opportunities for expanded responsibilities based on the needs of the business and the right candidate.
